"Shlach" is the Parsha story about the spies. In it, a group of important personages were sent to spy out the Land, the better to conquer it. After scouting the Land, they reported having seen giants and panicking. They brought back huge fruits as proof to their desert brethren of the invincible people they'd have to be up against. This opinion, in the end, was the spies' downfall.
The subject of our Parsha is really interesting. And when I looked for a parallel in the world of fashion, what popped up was "industrial espionage": Following big name brands illegally to find their weak points and to copy their strengths.
On the other hand is something known as "business information", both legitimate and necessary. When I take this to my world as a blogger and stylist, I discover a huge amount of necessary information! As a blogger I need to be constantly updated to be able to bring to my readers (you!) the hottest trends. So I find myself walking around, looking for the newest fashions and trendiest shopping spots.
That's how I found "Touch", a really special dress shop, right near the "Davidka" monument, on Yaffo Street in Yerushalaim. As soon as you walk in you realize it's unique.
To the right, at the entrance is a round table with two wooden chairs, surrounded by flower pots. The shop has a large selection of modest skirts in an array of colors & fabrics with, of course, blouses to match, such as the one I chose for today's post.
When I met Yaron, the shop's owner, he spoke so passionately about the collections he chooses, the variety, even the evening wear he brings, that I decided I must introduce you to him.
So why not drop in to the shop full of plants? Take a look – and don't forget to tell Yaron that I sent you! 🙂
