Parshat Shemini begins with Moshe calling together Aharon and his sons
to give them permission to formally start their duties in the Mishkan.
This occurs on the eighth day after Moshe has spent seven days
reviewing all the Priestly Services, without using the priests’
garments. This was to make sure the Mishkan would be completely ready
for theService for which it was built. We can learn from this that
all important things in life are worth double checking before
actually implementing.
This is readily seen in many instances (eg. driving tests, interning
for a particular job). So how is this connected to fashion and my
blog?
I’ll let you in on a background detail; before investing in
photographing a post for you with a specific outfit, I put it through
a kind of field check to see if it’s worth putting up as
an idea for modest wear.
I choose clothes I like and want on my post – and out I go. It could
be to some event, a launch, a get-together with friends or just a day
at work. Then I check the feedback and decide if this is what I
really want to photograph and put up on my post.
Today’s outfit I didn’t have to check on myself. I’d already gotten
the OK from the Instagram, when Rally of “Audrey by Rally” put up this
great jacket on her Instagram, and
I saw the responses.
So I went to her special boutique in Hod HaSharon (can be ordered by
mail too) and the result is another complete look from this unique
boutique.
Rally’s boutique: Sha’ar HaAmkim 15a, Hod HaSharon. You can also
order through her Instagram page by calling: 054-4454611.
